At a time when connection seems to be a buzz word… let’s connect on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter… never have we been less connected in a real way.

These social media platforms are a great way of staying in touch but do they leave us really feeling connected?

As I reminisce on my own childhood of afternoons spent at other people’s houses, all the mothers gathered, sharing and supporting one another while their kids ran wild and free under sprinklers in the backyard. I realise now that this was my mum’s support crew. These were the same women who dropped off meals for the family if she was sick. These women were her Tribe!

Where have our tribes gone? Have they been replaced by 300 followers on FB who will emoji smiley faces when something good happens in your life and send a sad face when something challenging happens?

I believe we all have a desire to be part of a tribe and that community is such an important and integral part of our emotional health. Which is why my husband Liam and I created

ONE TRIBE – a group to PROMOTE UNITY WITHIN COMMUNITY.

One Tribe hosts monthly gatherings on the 1st Sunday of every month. It’s a time where we can all come together and share a meal and meaningful conversation. These gatherings are a platform for sharing ideas and helping each other bring our passions and ideas to fruition.

So please join One Tribe, bring your family, friends and children along to the gatherings.

Let’s all reach out and support one another.

There is no cost to be part of One Tribe, it’s a free community event. All you have to do is join the FB group to get information on upcoming gatherings.

If you’re not on FB then email me.
