Is it just me or does Christmas become crazier every year?

You don’t have to let is stress you out. These 5 simple tips will make Christmas and the holiday season a breeze!

My Top 5 Tips for Coping with the Craziness of Christmas

  1. Don’t buy into the madness. Keep at the forefront of your mind what this holiday is actually about… spending time with loved ones, connecting and sharing.
  2. Buy your presents locally. Avoid the big malls and go to your local markets and buy off local artisans, your friends and family will love the creativity.
  3. Breathe!!! Don’t let your yoga practice slip away just because you’re busy, it’s now that you need it more than ever. Even if you just put aside 10 minutes a day to do a simple yoga flow or sit in a quiet space and do some forward bends (great for calming the nervous system).
  4. Don’t let your sleep suffer, get some early nights. Try not to burn the candle at both ends it will leave you without any fire in your heart and we need you ready to dance and have fun on Christmas day!!!
  5. Meditate. The Dalai Lama once said “You should meditate 1 hour every day… except for those days when you’re very busy… then you should meditate 2 hours!”.
